remodel next stage

This is what we have done so far. Whew! Lots of work! I can't wait to get it all shimmed up because then we put the base board and crown molding on. Then we begin painting- the fun part where everything comes together!

Remodel

We are begining to remodel our living room.  Here is a picture after demolition. I am so excited!!!

Digging for Diamonds

After digging for diamonds this past weekend (for our first time) we decided this is the essentials kit everyone needs:

Knee/chair pad
Rain Pancho (in case of rain)
Hat
Sunscreen
Digging tool from walmart (see picture)
Rent or bring a double sifting screen
Backpack/cooler with drinks and snacks
Rubber boots (in case of rain)
Ziplock bag (to keep any diamond possibilities in)

crater of diamonds

So today we went to dig for diamonds.  Hot and dirty and it rained on us, but we had a good time.  We are curently waiting on our food at the Kimberlite Restaurant on site.  We are all starving so don't mess with us!  We will be ready for naps afterward, I am sure.  Good times.

Sleepless Nights

I hate it when I travel and eat things I shouldn't.  I always forget the punishment I will go through that night because it is so tasty as I am eating it...sick to my stomach and wanting to hurl...great night.
